Dr. Phillips has always had a passion for animals and has traveled far and wide to pursue her dream of helping them.
She grew up in Ohio and then went to vet school at Ross University in sunny St. Kitts, Caribbean. She then finished her clinical year in Oklahoma before moving to upstate New York.
When her father retired to Florida, she followed him to remain close to family. After a number of years, she realized she missed the North and decided it was time to come back. She and her husband then settled permanently in the lovely town of Sellersville and are enjoying all it has to offer.
She and her husband share their life with their 4 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and dart frogs. Dr. Phillips loves working with cats and exotic pets while still loving all the dogs. She enjoys preventative medicine and internal medicine.
Outside of her professional passion, she enjoys travelling, reading, games, hiking, gardening, kayaking as well as just being at home relaxing.
I started working at Alpha Vet in 2008 and have made it my home.
Growing up in Ohio and rural Indiana, most of my time was spent in the woods with a pack of family dogs and my pet goat. After vet school I moved to Pennsylvania, working in a variety of practices, big and small.
I am passionate about rescue of small animals and farm animals. My daughter Julia and I have rescued or adopted cows, a horse, innumerable pit bulls and an inordinate amount of kitties.
As a vet, my goal is to promote the health of all animals in all stages of life and I particularly love helping senior cats and dogs.
Gret co-founded Alpha Veterinary Hospital with her late husband (2005), Dr. Eugene Barnsteiner.
In March of 2023 Dr Rumetsch passed the ownership baton for Alpha to Dr Nikol Phillips. She now works part-time on a weekly basis and focuses primarily on the general well-being of your pets.
Her professional interests include surgery, behavior modification and sports injury rehabilitation.
She loves to make a difference in people’s lives, and in the lives of their pets.
When not at Alpha she enjoys life with her two labradors, Cuddy and Umiak, and her husband, Dr. Jim Wilson. Together they enjoy travelling to veterinary meetings, to visit family in Germany, Switzerland, and Wisconsin and roughing it in Ontario, Canada.
Danielle joined Alpha as a veterinary technician in 2007, and has been in the field of veterinary medicine since 1996.
On top of her technician duties, Danielle also became Alpha’s office manager in 2021, taking on the additional task of keeping the office running smoothly. She is often in the middle of the action: whether its assisting in surgery, providing treatments, or taking with our clients.
One thing she truly enjoys is helping pets as well as caring about the people who love them. She shares her home with her beloved dogs.
Andrew joined Alpha in 2024 and brings nearly a decades worth of knowledge and hands on experience in the field of veterinary medicine.
He has an incredible devotion to his craft, loving to work with all furry creatures - big and small.
In his free time, Andrew loves to spend time with is girlfriend, their two cats, and their dog, Luna. Additionally he is trained in Poi spinning, and loves video games.
Andrews dedication to all things animals make him a new but very welcome sight at Alpha.
Rose started working at Alpha in the beginning of 2023.
Outside of work she studies animal health and conservation so she may work with all species, domestic and wild and to eventually become a licensed wildlife rehabilitator and care for orphaned animals such as raccoons and foxes (her two favorites).
She can also be found spending much time caring for all types of plants indoor and out and, of course, loving her own pets which includes two cats, Scorpion and Kitana, as well as her many reptilian family members of all sizes.
Angie has been a vet tech and part of the Alpha team since April 2023.
She moved fields when she realized her true passion was animals and more specifically exotics.
Angie has had a multitude of animals but what you find her with now is three cats and a leopard gecko. She also has a son who she has introduced all types of animals to and hopes one day he will have an interest in them as well.
Along with being a vet tech, Angie hopes to one day start her own non-profit for helping all animals in need – small or big, scales or fur. She just wants to help any animal she can.
I started working for Alpha in August 2023 and have a great love for all animals, however cats will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am owned by two purr buckets: Tuna and Mange (and grew up in a house with EIGHT that I had “nothing to do with).
While not at work, I enjoy taking spontaneous trips to the beach and mountains, reading, video games, napping, and aquascaping. Fun fact about me: I’ve bowled a 300 twice!
